1886年汽车问世以来,人类进入了汽车时代。汽车丰富和改变了人们的生活,促进了人类的进步和发展。但随之而来的道路交通事故也成了主要的社会公害。近几年,我国每年有10万多人在车轮下丧生。特别是群死群伤的重特大交通事故,造成的危害巨大,触目惊心。2006年,一次死亡10人以上的特大交通事故就有30多起,在分析这些特大交通事故中,除少数因车辆和道路环境的原因外,绝大多数是驾驶员的违章驾驶,操作不当等人为因素造成了几百人死伤的交通悲剧。面对交通事故给人民带来的极大危害,2006年10月18日,公安部召开了全国预防重特大道路交通事故电视电话会议,公安部副部长刘金国在会上动员,全国公安机关特别是交管部门决战70天,全力以赴开展好预防重特大道路交通事故专项行动。重特大交通事故的发生得到有效的扼制,预防重特大道路交通事故专项行动取得了阶段性的胜利。在发生事故后,我们无法挽回那些逝去的生命,但我们可以从事故中进行深刻的反思,我们必须从事故中得到血的教训。本刊以发生在2006年的死亡15人以上的10起特大交通事故为例,再次以血的教训警示世人,珍惜生命,遵守交通法规,安全行车,保障我们的生命和财产安全,共建我们和谐美好的社会。
