沈虹光是湖北省杰出的戏剧作家,创作了一大批影响深远的优秀剧作,但迄今文学界对她的研究和评论还很不充分。本期刊发著名文学批评家王先霈先生和郑传寅先生的相关研究成果,以期推动沈光虹戏剧研究进程。其中,王先霈的《成为西西弗斯的狄奥尼索斯——我看沈虹光的“戏剧人生”》认为,沈虹光的剧作,没有大制作,不玩形式,总是为剧团“掂斤簸两”地俭省。她创作的剧本,人物很少,不用龙套,场景设计简单。她的剧作从普普通通的老百姓的日常生活中找戏,不是向外而是向内,向着人心,人情,人性。郑传寅的《“琐细与平实中也有让人震撼的内容”——论沈虹光剧作的艺术特色》认为,沈虹光的剧作大多是平实的,有的场景甚至近乎琐细,但作者能从平实琐细的生活中发现深刻的内涵,能从平易中见奇崛,确实创造出了让人震撼的艺术作品。其题材选择,多写“当代都市的斗室微澜”;其人物塑造,多为“个性鲜明而独特的普通群众”;其艺术张力,“令人震撼,耐人寻味”。
