“Peacock” is a folk song widely circulated among the people in Pingyuan County of Guangdong Province, loved by the masses. It has been passed from Wuping County, Fujian Province to Pingyuan County for more than 200 years. The traditional “landing drum” to live, den, ugly performance-based, the music integrates Fengyang hub, Han tune music, Hakka folk songs. There are both folk ballads and classical literati poems, including Philosophers Proverbs, prophets, folk tales and local legends, which fully reflect the ornamental and entertaining features and become a characteristic of traditional folk performances in Hakka area. In today’s rapid social development, how to make this intangible cultural heritage continue to maintain her unique charm, to continue to maintain a place in the flourishing Hakka culture, inheritance and development, become the current urgent issue. As an inheritor of the “non-material cultural heritage”, “Drum Tower”, combined with my study, performance and creative experience, from a perspective of her origin, inheritance and future development, conducted a superficial carding.
