The finite difference method can be used for the calculation of multidimensional composite records. In this paper, we study the mathematical and numerical formulas of the problem, the boundary conditions in solid and fluid, the convergence conditions and the simulation of the source. The article states that the chosen numerical formula is equally valid for the forward problem (model) or the inversion problem (offset).
