A proper mixture of β-cyclodextrin and sodium dodecylsulfate in aqueous solution wasfound to show a synergistic enhancement of the fluorescence intensity of 4,5-benzopiaselenol. Thedetermination of trace selenium can be carried out directly in aqueous solution.
