The performance of the isothermal chemical engine under the condition of limited time is analyzed. The relationship between the optimum power and efficiency of the internal reversible chemical engine and the performance limit of the maximum power output are derived. The chemical engine and thermodynamic cycle performance are compared, and the effect of the law of mass leakage and mass transfer on the performance is discussed
