1944年夏天美国副总统华莱士访华是二战期间中美外交史上的重要事件。通过不同的新闻模式和话语竞争,国民党《中央日报》形成了游记式报道方式,而共产党《新华日报》则形成评论式报道方式。《中央日报》在报道中掩盖了美国和国民政府在中国国内政治上的矛盾,而《新华日报》则突出华莱士访华对中国民主政治的意义。
The visit by U.S. Vice President Wallace to China in the summer of 1944 was an important event in the diplomatic history of China and the United States during World War II. Through different news models and discourse competitions, the Central Daily News of the Kuomintang formed a travelogue style of reporting while the Xinhua Daily of the Communist Party formed a commentary style of reporting. The “Central Daily News” covered the political contradictions between the United States and the Kuomintang government in China while the “Xinhua Daily” highlighted the significance of Wallace’s visit to China to China’s democratic politics.
