The annual methane gas venting in the US natural gas industry is about 150 × 109 ft3. Due to rising natural gas sales prices and the huge demand for natural gas in the market, natural gas producers should proactively reduce the amount of emissions they are currently losing so as to boost their gas production. To reduce methane emissions losses and increase revenues, this article describes 25 process technology approaches designed to help natural-gas giants choose the most profitable methods of saving gas, many of which reduce operating costs, increase overall yields, and provide high recovery rates .
