在现代新闻业,纪实性与艺术性是新闻摄影中最重要的两个元素,其中纪实性被规定为是新闻摄影中必须包含的重要属性,艺术性则更多被新闻摄影从业者认为只是在保证新闻纪实性之后的一种美学补充,并且如果在一些紧急的情况下甚至可以忽略。可是,纵观国外获得优秀新闻摄影奖项的新闻摄影作品,无论是普利策奖还是何塞新闻摄影奖,其获奖作品大多是艺术性与纪实性遥相呼应。并且,在这些获奖的新闻摄影作品中,一些作品的艺术造诣,甚至超过了艺术摄影本身。因此,抛开行业内潜意识层面,新闻摄影的艺术性价值可能远不止为真实性的补充。
In modern journalism, documentary and artistry are the two most important elements of news photography. Documentary practice is defined as an important attribute that must be included in news photography. Artistry is more often considered by journalism practitioners as a guarantee of news An aesthetic addition to documentary reality, and even negligible in some emergency situations. However, taking a look at news photography that has won excellent news photography awards abroad, whether it is the Pulitzer Prize or the José Press Photography Prize, most of its entries are artistic and documentary. And, among these award-winning news photography works, some of the works of art attain artistic attainments even surpassing art photography itself. Therefore, aside from the subconscious level in the industry, the artistic value of news photography may go far beyond supplementing authenticity.
