1991年10月20—24日,中国天文学会、中国灾害防御协会、中国科学院数理化学部、中国科学院北京天文学会、北京天文学会、国家地震局震害防御司、中国地震报社、京港学术交流中心在天津蓟县联合召开了“全国天文与自然灾害学术讨论会暨第四届全国灾害学学术讨论会。72人到会,会前出版了《天文与自然灾害》论文集。会议共交流了46篇学术报告,分别反映了地球自转与自然灾害、太阳活动与自然灾害、
