Burgess is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most romantic streets in Rothenburg, Germany. The museum is located at the site of St John’s Church, with an imprisoned chair at the door to punish those bakeries who are short of money. The museum covers an area of 2,000 square meters, a total of four floors, is unique in Europe, it fully and profoundly reflects the history of the millennia before the 19th century. Easy-to-understand narration, in-kind, and literature describe various court procedures and torture, punishment, and statutory folklore. In addition, the museum also collected a large number of important laws and ordinances, medals and seals, documents, descriptions, cartoons, etc., displayed in the exquisite wooden ceiling of the former seminary or in the vault basement. Visitors will not only shudder at the numerous tortures and killing instruments of torture, but also smile at the use of masks and throat clamps that cause humiliation and doubt the educational effects of these brutal punishments.
