随着城乡人民生活水平的不断提高,西瓜种植面积也逐年增加,时常出现西瓜种子的供求矛盾.利用海南省得天独厚的天然大温室进行冬繁,是缓解种子供求矛盾的捷径。此外,有些杂种一代的亲本为长势强,第1雌花着生节位远,座果难的大果型品种,在我国南方多雨地区,因受气候条件的限制,不易座果,亩产种子量很低,而在海南冬繁可大大增加采种量。以新澄1号为例:父本澄选每商栽植550株,一般可亩产种子30kg 左右,母本新青每亩栽植700株,亩产种子达16kg 左右。根据本所1987年以来连续5年的实践经验,我们简要介绍一下海南西瓜冬繁技术。
