小说的序言部分就定下了一种家族史诗的基调,也渲染了悲伤的情绪——主人公生在天寒大雪,被视为不祥的征兆。当读者读到这样的开头时,胃口就被吊了起来,因为家族冗长的命运连结起来,往往能造就一个引人入胜的小型的传奇。这样的传奇几乎存在于每一个普通的家庭里,如果不被作者一层层揭开,它们永远都会保持缄默。这也是我们乐此不疲地被这种故事吸引的原因,当故事展开,家族的历史被赤裸裸地展开,我们总会感同身受,潸然泪下。当然这篇小说也不例外,一开始就有让人读下去的欲望。
The prologue part of the novel sets the tone of a family epic and raises sad emotions - the protagonist was born in dire straits and was seen as a sign of ominousness. When the reader reads such a beginning, the appetite is lifted up, because the long fate of the family is linked together, often creating a fascinating little legend. Such a legend exists in almost every ordinary family and will remain silent forever if they are not uncovered by the authors. This is also the reason why we are bored to be attracted to this kind of story. When the story unfolds and the family history unfolds nakedly, we always feel empathy and tears. Of course, this novel is no exception, from the beginning there is the desire to read.
