2002年是厦门市经济和社会发展取得明显成效的一年,回首这一年,厦门市各行各业“亮点”频现,极大地拉动了全市各项事业的快速发展。这是全市上下认真贯彻“三个代表”重要思想,按照市委、市政府的决策部署,克服种种困难,扎实工作的结果。成绩来之不易,成绩令人振奋。2003年是全面贯彻党的十六大提出的全面建设小康社会宏伟目标的第一年,是厦门市加快推进海湾型城市建设的重要一年。落实十六大精神,加快建设海湾型城市,需要我们进一步鼓足干劲,乘势而上。
In 2002, Xiamen achieved remarkable success in its economic and social development. Looking back on this year, the “bright spots” of various trades and occupations in Xiamen City are frequent and greatly stimulated the rapid development of various undertakings in the city. This is the result of the city’s conscientious implementation of the important thinking of the ’Three Represents,’ and according to the decision-making arrangements of the municipal party committee and government and overcoming all kinds of difficulties and solid work. Results hard-won, the results are exciting. The year 2003 is the first year of fully implementing the grand goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way proposed by the 16th National Party Congress and an important year for Xiamen City to accelerate the construction of a Gulf-type city. To implement the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the CPC and speeding up the construction of a Gulf-type city require us to further boost our energy and boost our momentum.
