中华寿桃是从山东省栖霞、牟平等地农家栽培的晚熟桃株系中选出的极晚熟桃新品种。果实于10月下旬成熟。从盛花期至果实成熟期约190天。平均单果重277g,果实近圆形,果顶略凹陷,缝合线明显,两半部对称。套袋果,底色乳黄,果面70%以上覆鲜红色,果皮光洁极少茸毛;果肉乳白色,硬溶质,脆嫩,近核处有放射状红色,粘核;果核椭圆形,较小;果肉硬度6.2kg/cm2左右,含可溶性固形物18.0%左右,含可溶性糖14.6%左右,含可滴定酸0.09%左右,糖酸比为162∶1,含维生素C70μg/g;品质极上。自花结实率41.3%;2、3、4年生树株产分别为15.5、23.2、30.8kg;适期采收可在常温下存放20余天;树体较抗旱、较耐瘠薄;须套袋栽培防采前裂果,要注意防细菌性穿孔病和白粉病。1997年10月通过专家鉴定;1998年4月通过山东省农作物品种审定委员会审定并命名为中华寿桃。1998年在莱西市栽培面积为500余公顷,并被全国13个省、市、自治区引种试种。
