鼓风机是化铁炉的关键配套设备,经全国调查,目前化铁炉多数选配罗茨鼓风机,8~18~101系列离心通风机,也有少数厂选用叶氏鼓风机和其他不规格的风机,有的为了提高风压而串联,有的为了提高风量而并联使用。这些风机用在化铁炉上,它们的性能不适应化铁炉的特性要求,易损失各种合金元素;噪音大,均在110分贝左右,影响工人身体健康;效率低,消耗电能多;结构复杂造价高,使用维修不方便。不能充分发挥化铁炉的效能,影响铁水质量。故应据化铁炉的特点选用风机。
