隐喻能力一直被认为是衡量英语学习者对英语习得程度的重要标准。据此,本文基于认知框架,从语言理解的感知阶段、析阶段和使用阶段考察英语专业学生隐喻能力发展具体表现为隐喻理解能力问题。通过实证分析,我们发现英语专业学生隐喻理解障碍主要存在如下几个阶段:感知阶段(词语辨识和注意控制)、解析阶段(语法分析能力欠缺和整体句子意识薄弱)以及使用阶段(认知图式影响)。最后笔者就如何结合认知框架理论培养学生隐喻能力提出了相关建议。
Metaphorical ability has long been considered as a measure of English learners’ standard of English acquisition. Therefore, based on the cognitive framework, this article examines the development of meta-linguistic competence of English majors from the cognitive stage, the analysis stage and the using stage of the language comprehension. Through empirical analysis, we find that there are mainly several stages in English majors’ understanding of obstacles to understanding metaphor: perception stage (word recognition and attention control), parsing stage (lack of grammatical analysis ability and overall sentence awareness) and the use of stage (cognitive schemata influences). Finally, the author puts forward some suggestions on how to combine students’ metaphorical ability with cognitive framework theory.
