吉安宾馆位于吉安市东南,与井冈山大桥相望,占地60余亩,环境优美,原有100余间客房分散在八幢楼内,建筑安排杂乱无序,客房与职工住宅、办公等混建严重,基地内绿化和道路也无系统,以至影响一些重要贵宾的接待工作。为适应国家京九铁路的建设和井冈山旅游资源的开发于1991年拟增建一幢50间客房的五号楼,并希望能改善总的宾馆环境。 五号楼选址的出发点是想从宾馆大院布局混乱的现状中重新进行空间组合,使不同时期建的互不相干的八幢客房楼能互相取得一些对话。为此新建筑选择于大院的西南角,拆除原有一幢平房,保留重要林木,以现有的一号楼和八号楼为依托,根据场地及朝向的特点而设计成丫形,将基地分为三个空间。 一、南园空间 一号楼曾是毛主席等国家领导人上井冈山途中小憩之所,现与新建的五号楼围合成南园,这里环境优美,宁静,视野开阔,景象好,设有专用入口以便接待重要贵宾时的安全与保卫。 二、中心广场空间 八号楼是一幢普通的四层客房楼,和新建的五号楼北翼组合成北院,这部分的空间可作为宾馆接待区的中心广场。 三、内庭空间 五号楼的南北两翼之间组合成内庭院,可使门厅、餐厅、咖啡厅等部分增添景色。 从宾馆大院进入到中心广场的空间,
