On December 2, China’s PMI (Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index), jointly released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the National Bureau of Statistics, was 51.4%, unchanged from the previous month. This important macroeconomic leading indicator has been above the critical point for 14 consecutive months. Judging from the 12 sub-indices, the production index, new export orders index, finished goods inventory index, purchasing index, import index and practitioners index rebounded as compared with the previous month, while the rest of the indices declined.
