Tubelactomicin A is a new 16-membered lactone antibiotic isolated from the culture medium of actinomycetes. The strain producing bacteria is codenamed MK70 3-10 2 F1. Actinomyces strain MK70 3-10 2 F1 was cultured on nitrocellulose sucrose agar and aspartic acid agar medium for 6-10 d at 27 ℃. The morphology of mycelium was observed under electron microscope.
