还是在师从史岩教授学习中国雕塑史的时候,我就强烈感觉到,雕塑与人类历史、文化的联系比较起其他的艺术门类更为特殊,例如,当我们为人类历史的某个时代、某种文化类型寻找一种象征物的时候,常常会选择雕塑。作为一种三维空间的艺术形式,雕塑更接近生命的直观,它的空间存在方式,更能够抗衡时间无情的流逝,使它能更好印证在某个时间段里人的生命和思想。令人遗憾的是,有着几千年不断雕塑历史的中国,在理论上一直属于文艺学科中的弱势群体。世界上就统一的国家而言,还没有哪个国家像中国这样
When I was still learning the history of Chinese sculpture from Prof. Shi Yan, I strongly felt that the relation between sculpture and human history and culture was more special than other art categories. For example, when we were at an era of human history, When a culture is looking for a symbolic object, sculptures are often chosen. As a three-dimensional art form, the sculpture is closer to life’s intuition. Its way of existence in space is more capable of contending with the ruthless passage of time so that it can better confirm people’s life and thoughts in a certain period of time. Regrettably, China, which has a history of thousands of years of constant sculpture, has in theory always belonged to the disadvantaged groups in literary and art disciplines.
