在20世纪楚辞学领域中，最为引人瞩目的学术争议是屈原存在问题的讨论。屈原否定论最早由廖季平提出，从而引发了蔓延近一个世纪的、一大批中日学者卷入其间的旷日持久的争论。这种争鸣不仅不会掩盖历史的真实存在，相反更会从正反两方面澄清历史的重重雾障，越来越清晰地呈示一个本源性的屈原形象。这对楚辞学的深入研究具有相当重要的价值。
In the field of 20th century Chu speech, the most controversial academic controversy is the discussion of Qu Yuan’s existing problems. Qu Yuan’s theory of negation was first proposed by Liao Jiping, which triggered a protracted debate involving a large number of Chinese and Japanese scholars in the past century. This kind of contention not only does not obscure the true existence of history, but on the contrary, it will clarify the historical mistakes in both positive and negative terms and present a more original image of Quyuan. This study of the depth of the study of Chu has a very important value.
