高粱类型间的本质区别是基因型的差别,亨加利高粱具有独立类型特点。类型间血缘差异大,F_1的杂种优势大,但杂种优势大并不等于配合力高;高的配合力是要在一定血缘类型差异的基础上,还要有好的经济性状的搭配。目前采用南非高粱、西非高粱与中国高粱杂交选育雄性不育系,用亨加利高粱与中国高粱杂交选育恢复系,虽二系的杂交亲本都有中国高粱血缘,但在杂交选育过程中,注意选择不同血缘类型趋向,是可以获得高产质优新的杂交高粱的。
