《米德尔马契》是19世纪的一部经典作品,它不仅受到许多同行作家的赞誉,也是各个时代许多批评家抛不开的话题。自19世纪以来,许多知名人士都对《米德尔马契》做了很深的研究,从互文性的角度来看,爱略特在小说中塑造的每一个人物形象都是对一种新事物抑或是旧事物的解读,尤其是通过互文性来理解多萝西娅最后的选择,更能体现出小说中蕴涵的一种对同时期“新福音”的拥抱和对“旧福音”的摒弃。本文便是通过小说《米德尔马契》的互文性解读,来感受当时社会时期的生活状态,并理解诸多人物形象背后的特殊含义。
Middlemarch, a classic 19th-century work, is praised not only by many fellow writers but also by many critics of all ages. Since the 19th century, many eminent personalities have made deep research on Middlemarch. From the perspective of intertextuality, every figure portrayed by Eliot in the novel is a new one. Things or the interpretation of the old things, especially through the intertextual understanding of Dorothea’s final choice, better reflect the novel implies a kind of “new gospel” of the same period and the “old” Gospel “to abandon. This article is through the intertextual interpretation of the novel ”Middlet MICHEJI", to feel the state of life in the social period and to understand the special meanings behind the characters.
