据《最新科技情报》介绍,日本航空公司研制成功可以代替冰的新型保冷材料,它比冰不容易溶化,保冷时间长。这种新型保冷材料是在合成树脂制的袋中,装入吸水树脂的粉沫制成,加水使它冻结后即可使用。合成树脂袋采用耐给与聚乙烯拼合而成,增强了它的强度。吸水树脂为丙烯酸酯(acrylicest-er)。每袋约加0.1升水。用飞机运送水产品多采用冰冷却,但冰易溶化,且有漏水等问题。上述新型保冷材料在25℃以下5小时以上不会溶化,可多次重复使用,重量较水轻30%,可大幅度降低运输成本。
