何为潜能?顾名思义,就是指潜在的,未被发觉或被忽略的能量。正常情境下并不显现出来,只在一些特殊的情境下被激发。比如马,一夹肚子它就跑起来,如果给它一鞭子它就快跑了。其实外界给它痛感,就是在激发它的潜能。每个人包括每个学生体内都蕴含着潜能。所谓学习潜能,是指学生在学习过程中还没激发出来的学习动力和学习能力。而在英语教学中发掘学生的学习潜能具有特定的作用和必要性,并具有相对于其它学科的不同特点。学生都如同一张白纸,只要拿捏得当,都能画出最美的图画。这就要靠教师来科学地开发学生的学习潜能。
