Equipped from head to toe with hel-mets and skis, the skiing doctors of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 look very much like their potential patients, the athletes, except for the 10-kg backpacks they carry while working. Being dispatched to sta-tions along the ski runs of the National Alpine Skiing Center in Yanqing, a northwestern sub-urb of Beijing, their task is to stand ready to treat injuries or medical emergencies at short notice.
