展览设计是一项综合平面与立体的空间形态设计,从效果上看又是一件完整的艺术品,观众的参与赋予空间以生命.与普通的室内设计不同,展览设计应该更注重其自身的独立性与广告效应,并选用最经济、简便的材料及工艺来完成.所以,相对来说,展览设计又是一门用少而精的手法造就独立、完美、自我宣传效果的空间艺术.由于一般的展览设计所给定的制作安装及拆卸时间非常有限,并且受展期制约,所以必须要熟悉并掌握各种展具的性质用途,以便于设计出组合容易、搭接合理的结构空间.展览的摊位面积有限,为了充分地利用每一寸面积,设计过程中最重要的就是安排人的行动路线和观展区域的位置,怎样做到既节省面积,又使空间富于变化,还要让观众穿行自如.这就需要设计师具有超前的分析能力,将自己融入其中,细细体会.
