另类教育指的是一类不同于既存的传统主流教育。作为台湾地区第一所体制外中学,全人中学力行人本主义、自由民主的教育理念,是台湾实验教育和另类学校的代表之一。通过实地考察全人中学,探究台湾地区实验教育发展背景、现状,对全人中学进行案例分析。其与一般体制内学校的差异有:混龄教学,师资多元;注重学生学习自由与自主性;以丰富的选修课程满足学生适性发展;课程评量多元,不以分数论英雄。其存在缺乏独立的行政支持、经费短缺、多元师资不足等困难。实验教育应有法律的保障,师资来源弹性化且应发展相应的师资培育体系,需要政府和社会的支持与理解。
Alternative education refers to a category of traditional mainstream education that differs from existing ones. As the first out-of-school secondary school in Taiwan, the whole-person middle school pursues a humanistic, liberal and democratic education concept and is one of the representatives of experimental education and alternative schools in Taiwan. Through the field study of the whole person’s middle school, we explored the background and status quo of the development of experimental education in Taiwan and conducted case studies on the whole person’s middle school. Its differences from schools in the general system are: mixed-age teaching, multiple teachers; focusing on students’ freedom of learning and autonomy; satisfying students’ adaptive development with rich elective courses; Its lack of independent administrative support, shortage of funds, lack of multiple teachers, and other difficulties. Experimental education should be guaranteed by law. The source of teachers is flexible and the corresponding teacher training system should be developed. It requires the support and understanding of the government and society.
