The main equipment of the French Navy anti-submarine warfare is anti-submarine aircraft, surface ships and submarines. During the Cold War, the French navy assumed a heavy strategic and tactical anti-submarine mission and deployed a strong anti-submarine force in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. After the Cold War, the French navy assumed a strategic anti-submarine task to plummet. However, in the face of the increase in the number of naval conventional submarines in many Third World countries, the tactical anti-submarine task of the French Navy has been aggravated. In order to focus on the use of anti-submarine forces, the French Navy deconstructed the Mediterranean Fleet and the Atlantic Fleet while forming the Surface Naval Anti-Submarine Combat Group (GASM) at the Brest Site in the Atlantic Ocean. Today, the French naval fleet has formed a strong anti-submarine combat system combining air, water and underwater three-dimensional, far, medium and short range. In the air, the “Atlantic” Ⅱ shore-based maritime patrol aircraft undertakes long-range anti-submarine operations
