1978-2004年的26年间,我国GDP从1473亿美元增长到16494亿美元,年均增长9.4%,人民生活水平总体上实现了从温饱到小康的跨越。这是国家发改委副主任王春正在主题为“以政府行政管理体制改革为重点,全面推进体制创新”的中国改革高层论坛上出示的数据。王春正认为,国民经济之所以取得突飞猛进的发展,重要的原因在于, 始终坚持社会主义市场经济的改革方向,坚定不移地推进各方面改革。没有改革,我国的经济社会发展就不会有今天的好局面。
During the 26 years from 1978 to 2004, China’s GDP increased from 147.3 billion U.S. dollars to 1.6494 trillion U.S. dollars, an average annual increase of 9.4%. As a whole, the living standards of the people have achieved a leap from adequate food and clothing to well-off society. This is the data presented by Wang Chunzhao, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, at the China’s reform high-level forum with the theme of “focusing on the reform of the administrative system of the government and comprehensively promoting institutional innovation.” Wang Chunzheng believes that the important reason why the national economy has made rapid progress is that it always adheres to the direction of the reform of the socialist market economy and unswervingly promotes reforms in all fields. Without reform, China’s economic and social development will not have a good situation today.
