力群是由鲁迅先生倡导的我国新兴木刻运动的前驱木刻家之一。从1933年他在国立杭州艺术专科学校参加进步美术团体“木铃木刻研究会”起,从事木刻创作整整五十五年了。研究他的创作道路,可以从一个侧面窥见我国新兴木刻运动发展的轨迹,对于繁荣当今版画创作是有意义的。力群漫长的创作生涯,大致经历了左翼、延安和晋绥、全国解放后三个不同的历史时期。“没有新兴版画就没有我力群”
Li Qun is one of the leading woodcutters in China’s emerging woodcut campaign, which was advocated by Mr. Lu Xun. From 1933, he joined the progress art group “Suzuki Woodcut Research Society” in National Hangzhou Art College for fifty-five years. Studying his creative path can give a glimpse of the trajectory of the emerging woodcut movement in our country and make sense for the prosperity of today’s printmaking. The group’s long creative career has generally gone through three different historical periods: the left wing, Yan’an and Jinsui, and the liberation of China. “There is no merit group without a new print.”
