邹秉文先生既是一位杰出的爱国知识分子,又是一位正直的农业贸易家和国际农业系统交流的活动家,但综观他的一生,他始终是以农学家的身份,关心与投入中国的近代农业建没事业,是我国近代高等农业教育事业的重要奠基人。和我国近代农业科技事业的卓越开拓者、组织者,是40年代我国同美国进行农业教育和科技交流的主要代表人物。本文仅从邹秉文在中国近代农业科技事业方面的重要建树作简要的介绍。
