煤矿井下变电所使用漏电继电器。当低压电网绝缘过低,发生人身触电危险或出现漏电故障等情况时,井下变电所低压总开关自行跳闸,对安全供电起到很大作用。但是,安装漏电继电器的低压总开关跳闸,並不只是因漏电引起,当低压电网过负荷电流值超过整定值,或出现短路故障时,总开关同样要跳闸。有时,漏电继电器虽已动作,但总开关因跳闸机构故障而拒动,使漏电故障不能及时发现,这样就影响了安全生产。因此现有变电所在使用漏电继电器的同时,还应加装其动作报警装置。
