目前,在农业生产上一般都采用精选、晒种、浸种、拌种、催芽等种子播前处理。经过种子播前处理,确实起到了促进发芽,提高出芽率,确保苗齐、苗壮,预防病虫害和促使某些作物早熟的效果,但也存在着造成土壤环境的破坏和开发与应用受到一定的限制等诸多弊端。随着现代科学技术的发展,以电、热和机械为代表的物理技术处理种子的方法开始得到研究与应用,一种以物理手段为植物生长发育促进因子的新型农业技术应运而生。文章从农作物种子具有电、热和机械三大物理特性入手,阐述了现代物理技术在农作物种子播前处理上取得的效果,对现代物理工程技术对于种子产业发展的前景进行了展望,并提出了政策性建议。
