孙崇涛教授是我国当代著名的戏曲史家和戏曲理论家,尤其是在南戏的研究方面,成就卓著。本刊特邀的这篇《家乡戏缘》,是他以自己的亲历亲闻,犹如工笔的风俗画卷一样,细致而又生动地描述了他的家乡——江南戏曲活动的重镇浙江瑞安一地戏曲活动的史实;内容侧重上世纪40年代至解放初温州戏曲,兼及沪杭,有时还“穿越”时空。像可剖析的实证,为戏剧史研究提供了一个地区的细部活动的情形,确是难得。本文虽然是历史的描述,但表述的方法却迥异于以往的戏曲史著类型。对此,他曾在《我与南戏研究》一文中说:我一向主张,学术表述方式应该尽量做到通俗明白,面向大多数读者。他还说:我早就有想改变一下戏曲史的另样写法,很赞同香港散文家董桥的主张,试用散文形式表述学术,让圈外人也能看懂。本文就是孙教授以自己的写作实践来践行他所追求的一种学术表达方式。全文像讲述故事一样娓娓道来,由于是充满了感情的,因此亲切动人,富有强烈的感染力,读来让人兴趣盎然。
Professor Sun Chongtao is a famous opera historian and opera theorist in contemporary China, especially in the study of South Opera. He also said: I have long wanted to change the way of writing the history of opera in different ways. I very much agree with Hong Kong essayist Dong Qiao’s proposition. I try to use essay to describe the academic form so that outsiders can understand it. This article is Professor Sun practice his own writing to practice what he pursues an academic expression. The whole story tells the story the same way, because it is full of feelings, so touching, full of strong appeal, read to make people interested.
