红外线是一种电磁波,具有与无线电波及可见光一样的本质,红外线的波长在0.76μm~100μm之间,按波长的范围可分为近红外、中红外、远红外、极远红外四类,它在电磁波连续频谱中的位置是处于无线电波与可见光之间的区域。红外技术是研究红外辐射的产生、传输、转换探测及应用的一种高新技术,军事应用是推动红外技术发展的主要动力。在历次战争中,红外技术曾显示出巨大的威力,它已成为现代军事装备的重要组成部分。红外成像、红外侦察、红外跟踪、红外制导、红外预警及红外对抗等,都是现代战争和未来战争中必不可少的战术和战略手段。另一方面,由于红外技术的独特功能,近年来,军用红外技术已逐步实现了向民用部门的转化。红外成像、红外测湿、红外检测、红外报警、红外侦查、红外夜视等已是各行各业争相选用的先进技术,本文着重介绍红外技术在安全防范领域的应用。
