突出以学生个体为单位的选择性目前,课程体系中的学习领域从八个增加到九个,课程从过去的17门,增加到265个。必修课程大大减少,选修课程则显著增加。现在除了高中语文和高中英语等几门为必修课程外,其它的课程全部为选修课程,而且这些选修课程排入每周35课时以内的正式课表。学生根据自己的发展方向自主选课。随着学生发展需求的增多,北京市十一学校的课程也在不断丰富和多样化,数学、物理、化学和生物由原来的三个增加到五个,语文、英语的自选课程和艺术、技术、体育课程也在学生
