港府耗资500多亿兴建铁路 港府最近公布铁路发展策略,当局将耗资500多亿元于2001年完成西部走廊、地铁将军澳支线及东九龙线铁路建设,工程预计于1997年开始动工。策略又建议于2001年后在香港岛兴建3条铁路。 贸发局预测1995年香港总贸易额增17％ 贸发局发表的1995年香港贸易展望报告认为,世界贸易环境好转,香港出口将受惠。报告预测1995年香港总贸易额将较1994年增长17％,其中总出口增长15％,转口贸易增长18％,进口则有19％的增长。
Hong Kong Government Spends More Than 50 Billion to Build Railways The Hong Kong Government recently announced the railway development strategy. The government will spend over 50 billion U.S. dollars to complete the construction of the Western Corridor, the Tseung Kwan O Extension and the East Kowloon Railway in 2001. The project is expected to start construction in 1997. The strategy also proposes to build three railway lines on Hong Kong Island after 2001. HKTDC forecasts aggregate Hong Kong trade growth of 17% in 1995 The HKTDC’s 1995 Hong Kong Business Outlook published by the TDC argues that the world trade environment will improve and Hong Kong’s exports will benefit from it. The report predicts that Hong Kong’s total trade volume will grow by 17% over 1995 in 1995, of which total exports will increase by 15%, re-exports by 18% and imports by 19%.
