瓜蒌是一种中药材,属于宿生根葫芦科多年生藤本植物,果实像甜瓜,其药理在于开胸润肺、止咳化痰。果实和根入药,其种子除药用外还可以炒熟食用。产品在国内市场有很大的销量,而且远销南韩,打入了国际市场。瓜萎是一种适宜大田栽培的高效益植物,一次栽种十年受益,果实是主要产品,根子叫天花粉,也属于中药材。该作物适应性极强,对土壤肥力要求不严格,极少有病虫害,栽种种根当年即可收获果实,瓜蒌在山区丘陵、河边渠畔、家前院后都适宜栽种,是高效农业较理想的作物品种之一。
