The Westernization Movement is a major event in modern Chinese history. It relates not only to the emergence and development of Chinese capitalism, to the relations between the old class differentiation and the new class emergence, but also to the changes in China’s political, economic, military, ideological and cultural fields at that time and to the subsequent development of Chinese society Produced a multifaceted impact. How do we think of the Westernization Movement? Was the Westernization Movement conformed to the historical trend and promoted the development of Chinese history? Therefore, it was a progressive movement or a trend-setting move that hindered the development of Chinese history and was therefore a reactionary movement? Or both? What is it? Concentrated Marxist-Leninist standards: “Judging historical merits is not based on the failure of historical activists to provide what modernity requires, but on the basis that they provide something newer than their predecessors.” So, did the Westernization Movement provide something new for modern China? To examine it under the historical conditions of that time, the answer was affirmative. Here are some of its main aspects of analysis.
