语法隐喻是韩礼德功能语言学中的一个重要理论基石。本文梳理了语法隐喻的概念以及语法隐喻与词汇隐喻的判别方法。在此基础上指出语法隐喻对于大学英语教学尤其阅读教学有一定的启示作用,教师或学习者通过在教学或学习过程中,借助语法隐喻理论的级阶的滑动,把含有语法隐喻的句子改写成“一致式”的句子,从而帮助提高学习者的英语思维认知能力和阅读水平。
Grammatical metaphor is an important theoretical foundation in Halliday’s functional linguistics. This article combs the concept of grammatical metaphor and the method of judging grammatical metaphor and lexical metaphor. On the basis of this, it is pointed out that grammatical metaphor has a certain enlightenment on college English teaching, especially on reading teaching. Teachers or learners rewrite the sentences containing grammatical metaphor as teaching or learning process by virtue of the sliding order of grammatical metaphor “Consistent ” sentence, thereby helping to improve learners’ cognitive ability of English thinking and reading level.
