一、概况杏子河是延河的一级支流,位于北纬36°46′—37°31′和东径108°41′—109°21′之间,属于黄土高原丘陵区。河流总长106.54公里,流域东西长62.5公里,南北宽57.5公里。海拔最高点1,795.6米(三架梁),最低点1,010米(杏子河出口处),相对高差200—300米。流域总面积1,486.10平方公里(折合222.9万多亩),包括靖边县五里湾、大路沟,志丹县张渠、杏河、候市,安塞县王瑶、招安、沿河湾八个公社的全部或大部,以及志丹县顺宁,安塞县化子坪等八个公社的小部,共117个生产大队,649个生产队,10,076户,51,678人,男女劳力71,543人。人口密度为34.8人/平方公里。
