本文通过对程海沉积物粒度垂直剖面的精细剖析,发现沉积物颗粒表现出明显的“细-粗-细”准周期变化,灵敏地记录了区域气候“湿-干-湿”的周期性演替,可作为气候变化的良好代用指标。程海区域气候存在50和400a两种时间尺度的干湿准周期波动,目前正处于干旱期末期-湿润期初期,水位将有所回升。沉积物粒度统计分析还表明:沉积物标准差在剖面上与平均粒径及粗颗粒含量呈同步正相关变化,因而它也具有与沉积物平均粒径相同的环境指示意义
