To study the effect of velvet protein (VAP) on fracture healing in mice. The effects of intramuscular injection of VAP on the fracture model mice were observed by X-ray examination, histopathological sections, serum insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels. Mice injected with intramuscular VAP had significantly faster fracture healing compared with the control group and the control group. The results of X-ray examination showed that the fracture line of 58mg / kg VAP group disappeared and the marrow cavity was clear, which obviously promoted the fracture healing in mice. The results of HE staining showed that the 58mg / kg VAP made the bone connection more dense and the bone marrow cavity was full The level of IGF-1 and ALP in the serum of the mice given 58mg / kg VAP was higher than that of the control group and the bone marrow group. 58mg / kg VAP can accelerate bone formation and fracture healing, and its therapeutic effect is related to the concentration of IGF-1 and ALP in mouse serum.
