94岁高龄的葛宝丰,是中国著名的骨科专家、中国工程院院士,兰州军区总医院的骨科专家。从医生涯中,老人接诊手术超过10万例,曾创造接活连体热缺血36小时断肢再植的世界纪录,完成了亚洲第一例十指断指再植手术,有6项科研成果属国内首创,4项科研成果属世界独创。如今,他依然活跃在医学前沿。玉树地震期间,已经92岁高龄的葛宝丰不顾自身的病痛,和他的同事一起将命悬一线的60多个玉树地震重症伤者全部抢救了过来。然而,葛宝丰当时因为腹痛,连腰都直不起来,硬是不顾个人生命的安危,全力以赴地投入到抢救伤员的高强度工作之中。在葛宝丰看来,这只不过是他行医的本分。他认为,“医生与病人是人与人的关系,不是人与物的关系,不能以个人利益来危害病人。”这也是他65年的行医实践所得。
