An overview of atomic frequency standards for high phase stability requires the development of relevant electronic devices with comparable or higher stability. We looked at the existing high-quality multipliers and RF amplifiers that operate from 5 MHz to the microwave frequency range. We are most interested in phase noise in the Fourier frequency range of about 10-2 Hz to 10-3 + Hz because most electronic servo systems use this range of modulations within existing atomic frequency standards frequency.
