Digital camera surveillance system now has more features, in addition to providing advanced compression technology such as MPEG-4 and H.264, but also with such as image stabilization, panoramic camera and video motion detection algorithms, etc., is a powerful simulation of traditional systems alternative plan. This article discusses the benefits of these new technologies and their optimized implementation on digital signal processors (DSPs) and FPGA coprocessor platforms.
