介词短语在句中主要用作状语、定语、表语、主语补足语和宾语补足语等，一般是不能作句子主语的，但有时候我们确实发现介词短语作了句子的主语，而且介词短语作介词宾语的情况更为常见。介词短语的这种名词性用法——作句子主语和介词宾语——往往用来指时间、地点、距离、数量或价格等。
