2006年7月1日,第二炮兵组建40周年。40年来,第二炮兵发扬我军光荣传统,战胜重重困难,挺进深山、走上高原、步入荒漠,默默地为共和国砺剑铸盾。经过40年的建设与发展,目前第二炮兵已初步形成了核常兼备、射程衔接、威力和效能明显增强的军事力量体系,具备了精确、机动、全天候的战略反击能力。在第二炮兵40华诞之际,本刊与第二炮兵政治部宣传部协力推出这组反映我军战略导弹部队建设与发展的稿件,以飨读者。
July 1, 2006, the 40th anniversary of the formation of the Second Artillery Corps. Over the past 40 years, the Second Artillery Corps has carried forward the glorious tradition of our army and overcame numerous difficulties. It advanced into the mountains, took to the plateau, entered the desert, and quietly made the shield for the Republic. After 40 years of construction and development, the Second Artillery Corps has initially formed a military force system with both nuclear and conventional capabilities, a range linkage, and a marked increase in its power and effectiveness. It has an accurate, mobile and all-weather strategic counterattack capability. On the occasion of the 40th birth anniversary of the Second Artillery Corps, this magazine and the Propaganda Department of the Second Artillery Department of the Political Department jointly launched this set of manuscripts reflecting the construction and development of our strategic missile forces to readers.
